The agricultural research crisis: the 90s perspectives

Abstract

This paper tries to identify the components of the new agricultural technology evolution trajectory, with emphasis on biotechnology, and underlines the technical paradigm changes, the new industrial structure organization, and the new nation-state roles. It also raises questions that must be analyzed on the context both of the new national policies to the area and of the Latin-American integration.
