Abstract

The objective of the present work is to study the scientific language as it is used by the institutions dedicated to research. It emphasizes the close subordination of the language to science. Considering neutrality as a pre-condition of scientific activity itself, science commands the text construction by imposing a style and a specific way of organising its results. Language criticism results in the criticism of a particular view of science, in which neutrality appears as a moral and persuasive value.
