Abstract

Agricultural development implies, in addition to the indispensable structural changes for the distribution of the available resources, the shaping up of a significant technological transformation. For this to be possible, it is essential to attain a compatible orientation of three great segments of the process of technological transformation: generation, diffusion and adoption of new techniques. Within this scope the technological change must be tackled as a social phenomenon, as a wide process of communication among the following external agents (political, professional, technical), and those individuals directly involved in the accomplishment of production: the farmers.
