Estimation of solar energy, in Recife area, based on bright sunshine registration

Abstract

Statistical evaluation of total radiation (direct plus diffuse) in Recife and surroundings was made based on bright sunshine data. Number of hours of bright sunshine and total radiation data from the Curado Meteorological Station, Recife, State of Pernambuco Brazil, were used in the regression equation.
