Abstract

The present work was carried out under greenhouse conditions, and its goal was to study the influence of five depths of flooding (0, 3, 6, 9, 12 cm) on the growth and yield of rice. The plants grew normally in all treatments and the flooding depth did not significantly modify grain yield. However, the number of grains (total and full) obtained per pot and weight of 100 grains were greater in satured soil (0 cm water depth) than in soil flooded to a depth of 3, 8, 9, or 12 cm.
