Agriculture sustainability undergoes the solution of problems related to control of diseases, pests and weeds. Nevertheless, several techniques applied to crop protection by themselves can cause pollution to the environment. In this work some approaches are discussed: problems of conventional crop protection management, the complexity of natural systems and agroecosystems, new technologies of crop protection, and possible alterations in crop management pursuing agriculture sustainability. Results show the necessity of interdisciplinary research projects. Only studies that are able to include the monitoring of different farming systems in several fields of knowledge are able to contribute to an understanding of the multiple interactions.Downloads
