Corn is the world-cultured cereal for this reason, and due to the seasonality of forage production, the use of corn silage as a rough in the dry period is of great value to ranchers. The objective of this study was to analyze the production costs and economic viability of silage corn for an area of 4 ha-1, in the municipality of Ipameri, Goiás. For the economic evaluation, the following indicators were used: Net present value (NPV), B/C ratio (R B/C), discounted payback and Gross Revenue, in addition to the application of sensitivity analysis in order to verify the behavior of the crop in the face of pessimistic situations of 10%, 20% and 30% increase in costs. The total operating cost was R$ 15,680.08 for the production of 197 tons, sold at R$ 150.00/ton, obtaining gross revenue of R$ 29,250.00. The indicators obtained the results: NPV R$ 71,634.32, R B/C 2.09 and payback in 1 year. The sensitivity analysis showed that even with a considerable increase in costs, the project proved profitable for the area under study. Therefore, silage corn production is economically viable for the study region, under the management conditions, climate and soil in which it was cultivated.
