Abstract

This paper aims to evaluate the scientific and technological research network of Embrapa, a public company that aims at the development of agricultural innovations in Brazil. Evaluating research networks aims to bring new and important elements for decision-making in scientific and technological policies. The analysis was made from the study of complex networks in order to analyze the technological frontiers developed by Embrapa. The results showed that there was an inflection of the technologies developed by Embrapa which are characterized as technologies related to green chemistry. It can be concluded that Embrapa has technologies with future opportunities linked to the development of products from the Bioeconomy, being an important indicator for an opportunity for governance of the development of agribusiness in Brazil, since its R&D results can be incorporated by Brazilian markets.
