The article discusses the applicability of Moreno's Sociometrics for the mapping of the interpersonal communication net between agricultural producers belonging to three settlement projects of Agrarian Reform in Brazil. These three settlement projects are objects of a research project lead by the Embrapa Cerrados in the field of agricultural communitarian development, carried out in the City of Unaí (MG), in the SouthEast Region of the country. The community members had been interviewed after answering a questionary about their relationship with the others members according to three kinds of perspective - politic, affective and technical. The research also tried to identify the reasons that lead them to certain communication behavoir in the settlement area. It was verified that, in the three settlements, people mainly meet in low level of interpersonal relationship/communication. This is considered a restrictive factor to the sprouting of new local leaderships and to group integration and development of collective activities. The results of the application of the sociométrica technique serve as valuable subsidy for action of communitarian development.Downloads
