Abstract

This essay is a contribution to small group workers to improve their understanding on group as a social fenomenon. Briefly points out the small group relevance as unities of work and stimulus to individuals social development, and discusses their conceptualization. It talks about the main theories that try to explain the groups, like different approaches to understand them, and must be knowed, once they may to orient a prevision about the things that will happen inside the groups, and help to plann the social action inside them. It also details the "Group Process" like the main fact that occurs in every group. Stand out the importance to identify this facts by small group workers, once the way they use them, it will happen an educative and promotional process or it will be developed a technical and social dependence process among the people inside the groups.
