This article discusses some possible contributions of genetic epistemology proposed by Jean Piaget, particularly in regard to the structure and process of knowledge, in the activity of the rural extensionist. Central ideas area presented on the nature of knowledge, followed by some basic conceptions of the theory of Piaget. At the end are given suggestions to provoke elaborations or constructions of thought in the sense of relating theory to practice.Downloads
