Abstract

The present assay has been carried out in order to evaluate the main characteristics of four onion varieties released by Empresa Catarinense de Pesquisa Agropecuária e Difusão de Tecnologia de Santa Catarina S.A. (EPAGRI). Main agronomic and morphologic characters are described so as to determine the genetic identity and varietal pureness levels during the seed production process. Such information will contribute for keeping the genetic potential of the varieties.
