This experiment was conducted in 1979 in Agronomic Experimental Station of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Guaíba, RS. Brazil. The objective was to study the effects of delay in harvest of three wheat cultivars seeds (Triticum aestivum L.) on field emergence and performance of the resulting plants. The harvest from seven to 21 days after the physiological maturation stage, propiclated greater levels of field emergence and 100 l in the resulting plants. The number of tillers for plant, plant height, yield components and grain yield were not affected by different dates in harvest.
