Abstract

Soil samples with disturberd and undisturbed structures were used to avaluate the moisture characteristics of six soil series collected in the vicinity of the UFRRJ. Significant differences were obtained for the moisture retention, mainly at low tensions. Significant differences between disturbed and undisturbed soil samples and texture were not observed. Soil samples with disturbed and undisturbed structures were used to avaluate the availability. It was also verified that upper and lower limits of the available water could be estimated using soil clods.
