Abstract

This paper describes aspects of the software SisPinus used to predict growth and yield of slash and loblolly pine planted in southern Brazil. It was developed to be operated in IBM/PC compatibles. SisPinus predicts, by measurements and characteristics of young forest stands, future production in the various diameter classes. Examples of yield and stand tables are given, which are fundamental tools in forest management.
