Abstract

A greenhouse trail was conducted to evaluate the germination of Winged Bean and Yam bean varieties (Psophocarpus tetragonolobus Neck e Pachyrhizus eresus Urban, respectively), on substract of sand, vermiculite and towel-paper. It was observed that Winged Bean had a superior germination percentual than Yam Bean, average for the three substracts (99,42% and 87,67%, respectively) at 5% level of probability. It was verified that the germination of both varieties under differents substracts did not present significant variation, however, Yam Bean x vermiculite interaction differed significantly.
