Control of Alphitobius diaperinus on the floor and on the poultry litter

Abstract

The objective of this work was to evaluate the susceptibility of A. diaperinus (Panzer) (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae) to the pyrethroid lambdacyalothrin (10% waterable powder formulation). A series of laboratory and field tests was done. The product residues in the carcass of the animals was monitored. The work will allow to orient in the management of the poultry litter to improve the control and reduce the diffusion of this pest.
