Abstract

Among eight sequential equipment in the Seed Processing Unity at EMBRAPA-SPSB/GL Brasilia, five were used as site for withdrawing samples of corn seeds cv. BR 106 for processing evaluation. There was a significant decrease in the percentage of impurity during the processing phases. The product left in the first equipment, precleaning machine, was 14.8% of impurity (broken, scratched, insect-damaged and fermented seeds) as compared with 9.2% left in the last one, bagging scale.
