TRANSFER AND AVAILABILITY OF INFORMATION ABOUT TECHNOLOGY IN AGROENERGY: AGROENERGY TREE OF KNOWLEDGE

Abstract

Parallel to the effort undertaken by research institutions in the generation of new knowledge and technologies, it is also necessary to invest in actions that promote and ensure access to the results of research projects. The socioeconomic importance of agroenergy was recognized, and Embrapa has been committed to enabling technology solutions that aim at the improvement and sustainability of production systems; thus, an additional effort is necessary in order to organize, systematize and provide access to scientific and technological information, with added value, in this area of knowledge concentration. Despite the abundance of information circulating on the Internet in Brazil, there has not been established yet a specific information service for agroenergy with valid scientific and technological information of practical interest, such as technical guidance and recommendations on the processes of various materials and technologies of production of different forms of agroenergy. tool Agroenergy , which was developed by access, through the web, the information that encompasses the different production systems applied to different regions and conditions, followed by texts, publications, statistical data of production and market, various links, etc., all of them related to the theme "agroenergy".
