Abstract

Nitrogen was applied to 'Tahiti' lime (Citrus latifolia Tanaka) at different timing schedules from 1972 to 1976, in experiment carried out on a distrophic Red-Yellow Podzolic soil, at Santo Antônio de Jesus, Bahia, Brazil. The nitrogen was applied one, two, three and four times, corresponding to March; March and August; March, May and August; and March, May, August and November. Single application of N/year was similar to two, three and four applications of the same rate, which varied according to the age of the plant.
