Abstract

The purpose of the work was to study the persistence, under field conditions, of two formulations of Baculovirus anticarsia produced by the Biologic Institute of São Paulo State, Brazil. The protection against solar radiation, conferred by wettable powder (Leucite) and oil emulsion (Soybean oil) formulations, was evaluated in field conditions, through collections of soybean leaves from plants sprayed with the different treatments, used to feed caterpillars of Anticarsia gemmatalis in the laboratory. Leaves were collected in the date of the application of the Products and 1, 2, 7 and 14 days later. The results showed that the Leucite viral formulation maintained its activity in higher levels than the other preparations.
