About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Pesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira (PAB - Brazilian Journal of Agricultural Research) is a monthly journal published by Embrapa in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. PAB edits and publishes original and unedited scientific papers derived from research on subjects related to the agronomic area, in the format of Articles and Scientific Notes. Review manuscripts can be published by invitation from the Editor.
Peer Review Process
The Editorial Board performs an analysis, before submitting the manuscripts to the referees. This analysis considers aspects such as scope, preparation of articles according to the journal's instructions, originality of the objectives, style of the composition, theoretical basis, an updated literature review, consistent and accurate methodology, results containing useful contributions, discussion of the observed facts in relation to the ones described in the literature, quality of tables and figures, and originality and consistency of the conclusions. After using this criterion, rejected papers will be returned to authors, and accepted ones will be submitted to the technical referees’ analysis.
Publication Frequency
PAB’s periodicity is of annual volumes published in monthly issues.
