In order to evaluate the performance of several wheat (Triticum aestivum L) cultivars under overhead (central pivot) irrigation conditions in São Francisco valley, north region of Minas Gerais state in Brazil, two experiments were carried Out. In the first (1984), two cultivars (Anahuac and BR 10-Formosa) and two levels of NPK + B were evaluated. In the second (1986), four cultivars (Anahuac, BR 10-Formosa, Candeias, e BR 12-Aruará) were evaluated at just one level of NPK + B. Both experiments were set up in a randomized complete block design with threr replications. The plot areas ranged from 1.000 up to 1.300 m2 .The cultivar BR 12-Aruanã showed better productivity, hectoliter weight and Jess lodging. BR 10-Formosa and Candeias cultivars showed intermediate performance. The region has potential and excellent conditions for wheat cropping. No diseases were observed in both experiments.
