Abstract

This work was carried out in Sapé, PB, Brazil (April/84 to December/85). Liquid fertilization was compared with solid fertilization of N and K, tradicionally recommended on pineapple cultivation, in a Red-Yellow Podzol soil Although the yield was not affected by the treatments, the liquid fertilization with six pulverizations at sixty-day intervals resulted in higher economic rentability and higher percentage of fruits weighing more than 1,500 g.
