Abstract

This experiment was carried out at the Iguatemi Research Station, in Maringá, PR, Brazil, in randomized blocks, tlo verify the influence of crop age after cutting on agronomic characteristics of Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni). The crop was cut uniformization on November, 12th, 1983. The first harvest was made 54 days from cutting, and so on in a total number of ten. It was verified that between the 54th and 61st day trom cutting, the older leaves began to fall. Between the 96th and 103rd day, the first inflorescence reached its maximum, and the highest yield of leaves was obtained between the 75th and 82 day.
