Abstract

Correlation coefficients between grain yield, hectoliter weight, 1,000-kemel weight, days to heading, days from heading to maturity, and wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) plant height, were calculated from 857 readings recorded from 35 wheat variety trials, planted during three years at Indápolis, MS, Brazil. Positive correlation coefficients were found between grain yield and 1,000-kemel weight, and between grain yield and plant height. Significant correlations were also found between plant height and 1,000-kemel weight. Low even significant correlation coefficients were found between grain yield and hectoliter weight. Other correlations were very little consistent.
