The work evaluates feeding two quantities of ground corn to two groups of twenty-nine calves weaned at three months of age. The two treatments were: 1.600 g/h/d, and 2.200 g/h/d of ground corn. Beginning with the sixth month of age the weight differences reached significance (P<0.05). Total live weight gains achieved 35 kg in treatment I and 30 kg in treatment II, which was statistically significant (P<0.05).
