The rootstocks of grapevine cultivars: Berlandieri x Riparia SO4, Riparia x Rupestris 101-14 and Rupestris Du Lot were grafted with cultivar Merlot. The grafted stocks were treated with indolbutyric (BA) in five concentrations: zero, 1000 ppm, 2000 ppm, 3000 ppm and 4000 ppm by the rapidly immersing method at the base and stratified for 35 days in coarse sand, than transferred to greenhouse under intermittent mist condition for more 35 days. The IBA influenced taking, rooting and root number and length. The major percentage of taking was 75%, 65% and 90% for the cultivars SO4, 101-14 and Rupestris Du Lot, respectively.
