Abstract

Dry rubber yield per tapping par tree and Salb (Microcyclus ulei) incidence was determined in the clones IAN 6323, IAN 873 and Fx 3925. The study was done in a small holding at the right edge of the Tapajós river, near Belterra, State of Pará, Brazil. The best production during the first 12 months period was got in the clone IAN 6323. The results showed still that clones studied were free of Microcyclus ulei incidence, showing a good potential for rubber growing at the edge of the large rivers of the Amazon Region.
