A new procedure for the calculation of results in sugarcane analysis, developed for usa in programmable calculators and aimed to minimize the amount of errors found, is described. The method uses a series of equations that: 1) simulate both the International Temperature Correction Table for the Normal Model of Refractometer, above and below 20°C, and the Table of Picnometric Values for Aqueous Sucrose Solutions at 20°C and 2) perform the correction of the rotation of the polarized light by the raw sugar solution to that at 20°C.
