Nine corn lines are identified through enzymatic patterns and based on loci very well determined. Isoenzymes, primary products of gene action, are observed using electrophoresis technic with special substrates and dye. The systems used are alcohol dehidrogenase, catalase, peroxidase, esterase and acid phosphatase. The presence of the allele in special locus corresponds to the band observed, and by this way the genotype is known. Only four loci in esterase differenced the nine lines.
