Abstract

The purpose of this work was to determine the erodibility of four representative soils from the municipality of São Mamede, Paraíba State, Brazil. Based on some physical properties, the K values, i.e. the erodibilities were determined by using the universal soil loss equation (Wischmeier nomogram). The Vertic Non-calcic brown and Non-calcic brown are more sensitive to erosion. with K values from 0.29. The Podzol and Lithosol soil exhibit values from 0.26 and 0.18 respectively.
