Six soil from Lavras, MG, Brazil, were studied with the objective of determining the factor of erodibility (K) by using the nomograph method. According to erodibility, results shown by surface horizons of the soils, the Latosols can be considered as the less suceptible to erosion, with K values from 0.002 to 0.004. The (Cambissol) appear as the most suceptible to erosion with a K value of 0.041. The Podzolic and the "Terra Roxa Estruturada" can be placed in an intermediate classification, with K values of 0.016 and 0.018, respectively. These values are different when an average for the soil profile is considered, but do not alter the ranking of the soils in terms of erodibility.
