Preliminary results of 3 short term experiments to improve the puncture-tapping technique of Hevea brasiliensis. Short bands of 30 cm and 4 punctures per tapping were as effective as 60 cm bands with 8 punctures. Basal application of Ethrel was less effective than directly on the band on which punctures were mede. To the particular case of the clone Fx 25 the better concentration of Ethrel was 75%.
