Abstract

Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) cv. Tatui seeds were separated into density classes, and an evaluation was made of plants which originated from these seeds and also of the production per area. Results from the analises carried out led to the following conclusions: separation by density selects peanut seeds also by size; higher vigor of seeds of the various density classes influences only the emergence stage of peanuts and does not persist up to the reproductive development stage.
