The influence of moisture content on seed behavior in the rapid aging test was studied at the Seed Laboratory of E.S.A. "Luiz de Queiroz", USP. Seed moisture was adjusted from 7,0 ±0,2% to 9,0 ±0,2% and 11 ± 0,3% in a germinator, under 95% R.H. and 20°C. The rapid aging test was conducted in a chamber under conditions of 42°C and 100% R.H. for 48 hours. The results obtained indicate that seed behavior in the rapid aging varies with its moisture content. The treatment with highest moisture (11%) was more sensitive under the temperature and relative humidity set for the aging chamber in this experiment.
