Abstract

Relationships between daily global solar radiation (K ↓) and solar radiation at the top of the atmosphere (Qo), and duration of bright sunshine and day length (n/N) were determined by regression analysis at Londrina, Paraná, Brazil. The data used were recorded at the Londrina, IAPAR-Climatological station. Results showed that during every season, n/N alone can be used to estimate K/Qo. ↓ satisfactorily. The relationship derived for estimating K ↓ from duration of bright sunshine (n), K ↓ Qo (0,31 + 0,49 n/N ), showed good agreement with findings of previous workers.
