The Newcastle disease in captive rheas ( Rhea americana)

Newcastle disease virus was isolated from rheas (Rhea americana) in captivity for the first time. The occurrence of the virus was determined by isolation of chick embryo, HA and HI tests were performed and reproduction of the disease in chicks was also examined.
