Abstract

Results from the first trials in Brazil of certain varieties of Triticale from Mexico and Canada are reported. The data collected from two areas in Rio Grande do Sul indicate the great potencial of Triticale as a new crop in Brazil, and emphasize the need for further research particularly in the area of genetics.
