Abstract

A preliminary survey on the identification of V.A. mycorrhizae spores in soils under legume trees, cultivated with Clitoria ternatea for at least two months, is presented. Out of 19 soils from different sites studied, V.A. mycorrhizae spores of the genus Glomus were present in 16, the genus Sclerocystis in six and the genus Gigospora in four of them. The more acid soil (pH = 5.0) was the only soil with no spores of V.A. mycorrhizae.
