This paper presents an analytical study of thirteen soil profiles of Itapirema soil (Podzolic soil). The studies were conducted on indisturbed soil samples collected by means of a soil extractor apparatus. They present hydric and physical data indispensable to irrigation, use and soil management. Chemical and physico-chemical data of the representative soil profiles are also furnished. The samples were characterized through volume weight, capillary and non capillary porosity, permeability coefficient values, moisture equivalent, 15 atmosphere moisture percentage and mechanical analysis. The authors concluded that the soils would be better used for agricultural purpose through irrigation and moto-mechanization practices. A rational use of fertilizers would be a very important factor to improve the productivity of this soil.
