Abstract

In a natural outbreak of Aujeszky's disease in the Município of Jequitinhonha, State of Minas Gerais, the authors isolated the Aujeszky's virus from the blood of a cow which had shown symptoms of the disease for eight days. The blood was inoculated subcutaneously into a rabbit. The sub-cutaneous inoculation of serum from the same cow into a second rabbit gave a negative result.
