Abstract

An isolate of potato leaf roll virus (PLRV) was purified through enzimatic extraction, Triton X-100 and chloroform:butanol clarification, PEG precipitation, differential centrifugations, freezed and thowed sucrose gradient and a CsCl isopienic centrifugation. The antiserum produced was tested at CNPH/EMBRAPA and at other public and private institutes. The results showed a specific serum suitable for indexing programs as well as research. This concludes the potato viruses antisera production program at CNPH/EMBRAPA which also have antisera for APMV, PVS, PVX and PVY.
