Abstract

Expressions for computing the estimators for the heritability and phenotypic, genotypic and environmental correlations in F2 and F3 generations, in crosses between soybean cultivars were obtained using the design II proposed by Comstock & Robinson (1948). As an application, the estimates of the phenotypic, genotypic and environmental correlations in F3 generation for the characters days to maturity, plant heights, numbers of nodes per plant, numbers of pods per plant and numbers of seeds per plant, were obtained.
