The soilborne wheat mosaic virus (SWMV) causes great damage to wheat in Southern Brazil, mainly in the State of Rio Grande do Sul. Ten populations in F1 generation and their progenitors were studied in the experimental field at Embrapa-Centro Nacional de Pesquisa de Trigo (CNPT) in Passo Fundo, RS, in order to know more about the inheritance of the resistance to this disease. Each plant in the F1 population and in relation to their progenitors was evaluated in plots of 9 to 21 plants. The results were not uniform in relation to the type of inheritance to SWMV resistance, varying the behavior of the populations from dominance to recessivity, according to the cross.Downloads
