Abstract

This paper aimed to evaluate the efficiency of different volume rates _ 340, 450, 1,000, and 1,350 L/ha _ and two chemical concentrations of mineral oil (MO) plus hydrogenated cyanamide (HC) _ 30+3 L/ha and 50+5 L/ha _ in the 'Gala' apple. It was found that in seasons with at least 800 chilling units all volumes and concentrations were efficient, except 340 L/ha at concentration of 30+3 L/ha of MO+HC. In seasons with less than 800 chilling units, the best results were found at the concentrations of 50+5 L/ha of MO+HC for all volumes tested.
