Abstract

The digestibility of the nutrients of a complete ration, supplied to animals of different genetic groups was evaluated. The digestibility was estimated by Acid Detergent Lignin. A randomized block design was used, with replications in the time. Chemical analyses of the ration and feces were carried out each 28 days. For each genetic group, feces of 16 animals were collected at least each 28 days. Differences were observed in the use of the nutrients, standing out the Guzerá in all the variables, except for digestibility of crude protein and of acid detergent fiber. On the other hand, the Caracu showed less efficiency in the digestibility of the nutrients, except for crude protein and acid detergent fiber.
