The objectives of this study were to estimate genetic parameters and to evaluate the growth traits and stem form of tropical pines provenances, in Cerrado region, using yielding and form characteres: volume under bark, stem form, forking and foxtailing. The design used was a randomized blocks with five replications with information within the plot. The ANOVA results showed significant (P < 0.01 and P < 0.05) and non significant differences between provenances for the evaluated traits. Heritability estimates based on block average were always greater than heritability estimates based on individual values. P. tecunumanii showed better silvicultural performance than P. caribaea var. hondurensis and P. oocarpa.
