Abstract

This study was an effort to determine the most adequate size of the rearing areas for silkworm. Area sizes, varying from 2 to 3 square meters, were used for eggs during the spring and summer seasons in Campinas in the State of São Paulo, Brazil. As measured by cocoon weight and percentage of double cocoons there were no significant differences between treatments. There was a highly significant difference among essays but no essay versus treatment interaction.
